Little Bees Big Honey is excited to announce Bee School for Beginners is back,  enroll now for October classes!

Bee School will be taught by Susan and Joe.  Class starts promptly at 6 PM,  Anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

Bee school will be held at Austin Java at 3799 US-290 in Dripping Springs, 78620.  This amazing cafe and coffeehouse serves wonderful food, coffee, and brews that may be enjoyed while attending class. Classes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 23 through Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 6 pm to 9 pm each evening.

The class will include why to become a beekeeper, how to identify honeybees, the lifecycle of honeybees, honeybee health issues, types of hives and components (woodenware), hive inspections, swarm collection, installing honeybees, tools and materials used by keepers, access to mentors and other newbies, and flowers/ shrubs that encourage a variety of pollinator species.   We will also discuss locations to purchase materials and bees locally as well as reputable online sources.  Each class will include time to inspect the tools, materials, and hive components needed for beekeeping as well as a Q and A session for clarification.
